Denver Carriage - The Home of Happy Horses

Safety Policy

Running a safe operation for the public and the horses is a top priority with Denver Carriage.

Denver Carriage will not operate in weather that puts driver, horse, or passengers at risk. This means inclement weather: heavy rain, lightning and thunder, high winds, extreme cold, snow or icy conditions. The carriages have tops for mildly bad weather. No fireworks, rice, birdseed or balloons may be used or released near the horses.

An attendant may be provided to help with crowd control and to answer people's questions. Small children must be in the arms of their guardians before approaching the horses and all children will be under control. Only those hiring the carriage and their specified guest will be allowed in the carriage.

Denver Carriage will not work a horse longer than three hours without a break.  (In hot weather, breaks will be more frequent.)  No horse works longer than six hours in a day.

Denver Carriage maintains the right to make any decision necessary regarding safety and to act accordingly.

In inclement weather the driver retains the right to dress accordingly.
